The Rotary Club of Redondo Beach celebrated National Night Out on August 9th, 2025, at the Redondo Beach Performing Art Center.  It was an event that allowed families to connect with first responders, interact with services and people of their community.  On hand were the Redondo Beach Police, the Redondo Beach Fire Department, All Cove, Friends of the Redondo Beach Library, the Navy Sea Cadets, and even some of our four legged friends, the service dogs of Canine Companions, including local celebrity, Cadbury.  Rotary Club was a big part of the event, by trying to educate and bring in new members to the service club.

"I joined Rotary to give back to the community. The motto Service Above Self isn’t just a phrase—it’s a call to action," said Jim Stickler, who along with other members worked the booth, while handing out candy to the families.

"Through Rotary, I’ve had the privilege of participating in local projects that directly improve the lives of individuals and families in our area. Whether it's supporting youth programs, enhancing public spaces, or lending a hand to those in need, Rotary has given me a platform to serve with purpose," Jim added.
