The South Bay Aerospace Alliance

Michael Gin currently serves as a Principle Information Systems Analyst and Project Manager for the LA County Department of Health Services. He previously served as Mayor of Redondo Beach from 2005 to 2013. He also currently serves as an Air Force Space Command (AFSPC) Civic Leader for Space Superiority, a role that will be the focus of his presentation.

Mike received a BS degree in Computer Science from USC in 1984 and graduated as a David Bohnet Fellow from the JFK School of Government at Harvard University in 2007. He has received numerous awards including the Harvey Milk Champion of Change Award from the White House in 2013. He lives in Redondo Beach with his spouse Christopher Kreidel.

The Air Force Space Command (AFSPC) Civic Leaders for Space Superiority is a major command-level program whose membership is comprised of respected, influential civilian leaders selected from across the United States. Program members are influential civilians who are in the position to advocate for Air Force Space Command and Air Force issues.  They provide AFSPC leaders insight into state and regional viewpoints and help secure community and governmental support for Air Force Space Command programs, installations and personnel. 

The title of Mike's talk will be Our United States Air Force: Challenges and Opportunities in the Asia Pacific Region; The South Bay Aerospace Alliance – Supporting the Airmen at Los Angeles Air Force Base .
