Sue Johnson was our featured today.  She recounted anecdotes from her 25-year career scoring PGA golf tournaments. Starting with the first tournament she scored, the Gatlin Brothers Open in Texas, she gave an insider’s view of nationally televised golf events. She has scored events such as the 2019 U.S. Open Championship, the 2019 Women’s Open, the 2019 Senior Open, etc. Johnson most recently scored events from Scoring Central where she keeps track of 18 screens simultaneously – one for each hole. Among the calls she has received: hot dogs to hole 7,   players need water, the standing of players, weather warnings, and a message that a golf cart is running away; turns out someone forgot to set the brakes.
