Marthe Cohn just turned 94 years young, and was a spy in the French Resistance during World War II. She was instrumental in ending that part of the war by telling the French soldiers that the Germans had abandoned the Ziegfield Line. She never told her story until she was in her 80’s and then wrote a booked called “Behind Enemy Lines.”  She was born in 1920 in Metz, France and raised in a traditional Jewish family. She spoke both French and German, which made her a great spy. She was able to smuggle out here entire family into hiding, expect her sister, Stephanie, who died in Auschwitz. Marthe has been married to her husband, aptly named Major for 56 years; they have two sons and one granddaughter and lives in Palos Verdes.   Her story was a fascinating one.

Raffle TicketWalter Campbell only got a measly $10, but graciously gave it back.
