Zoom meeting: "The role, work and recent developments of the Rotary Action Group for Peace"

PDG Alison Sutherland first joined Rotary in Dar es Salaam,  when she was living and working for eleven years, specialising in HIV/AIDS at grass roots.  Her HIV/AIDS work took her to Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and the DR Congo.  She too undertook training in India and Argentina.  Upon her return to the UK she joined Cardiff Bay Rotary.

She is the Immediate Past District Governor for District 1150 Southern Wales and is currently District Peace, Mediation, Scholar and DEI Officer.  In her Peace role she works with the Home Office, Cardiff Council, universities and other leading organisations.  She delivers programmes to prisoners and refugee and asylum seekers.

She is Past Chair and now the RI Cadre Officer for the Rotary Action Group for Peace.  She has been instrumental in growing Peacebuilder Clubs and in piloting Chapters of the RAGFP.
