HOPE, Inc: Addressing the Affordable Housing Crisis for People with Developmental Disabilities

NOTE: Today's meeting will take place at 6:30PM at the HT Grill in downtown Redondo Beach.

Ian Nevarez graduated Cum Laude from California State University, Long Beach with a BA dregee in 2006. He first worked as an AmeriCorps member developing innovative literacy programs for low-income children living in affordable housing communities in Santa Ana. He then joined LINC (Linking Individuals to their Natrual Community) where he oversaw statewide expansion of programs to 30 locations that housed low-income families, seniors and special needs populations. He is currently Manager of Community Relations with HOPE (Housing Ownership for Personal Empowerment) and he administers the day-to-day operations of Lanterman Housing Alliance, an industry association comprised of organizations throughout California that serve the housing needs of people with developmental disabilities.
