REDONDO BEACH, California, USA -- The Redondo Beach Rotary Club is a 100% Paul Harris Club. Our club joined the ranks of the Paul Harris Society in 2004-05 during Pat Cashin's year as District Governor of District 5280, and Gayle Albin-Bailey's year as club president.

Once a Rotarian becomes a Paul Harris Fellow they are grandfathered for all future years.  What this means to the sponsoring Club is that even if a Club adds new members who are not Paul Harris Fellows the Club is still considered 100%.

It should be the goal of every Rotarian to become a Paul Harris Fellow.  A Paul Harris Fellow is bestowed on Rotarians and friends who have contributed $1,000 or more to the Rotary Foundation for humanitarian needs in the United States and worldwide.  There are 985,424 Paul Harris Fellows in the world as of May, 2006.

It should also be the goal of all Rotary Clubs to be a 100% Paul Harris Club. This means every member, at some point in time, at a specific Club, is a Paul Harris Fellow.  Once a Club has 100% of its members as Paul Harris members then it will always be 100% despite adding new members that are not yet Paul Harris Fellows.

Special thanks for this achievement are was partially due to the generous contribution of some of their points by PDG Rick Mendoza, PDG Vicki Radel and Ted Wendorff.
