•To end polio, we must stop transmission of the virus in the three countries where it remains endemic:
•Afghanistan, Nigeria, and Pakistan.
•We must also keep all other countries polio-free until we're certain it won't resurface. Up to 60 high-risk countries still operate large-scale immunization campaigns to protect children against polio.
•The goal of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative is to complete the eradication and containment of all:
•- Wild polio viruses
•- Vaccine-related polio viruses
•- Sabin polio viruses,
•
•So that no child ever again suffers paralytic poliomyelitis

Our friends at the Salvation Army need your help. Due to policy changes with grocers and LA County, grocer donations for their food pantry have significantly decreased. With the holidays approaching and neighbors (many are families with children) struggling with food insecurity, we would like to have a food drive to stock the pantry! |
