Terri Gortan and her Husband Allan run Paradise Resort on the remote Garden Island of Taveuni in Fiji. Terri and Allen have been generous supporters of Rotary projects on Taveuni and of our Club Foundation fundraising efforts. For the last few years they have donated a week’s worth of free lodging and cooked breakfast at their resort for our auction. Recently Terri joined the Taveuni Rotary Club. On Wednesday she is going to introduce her new club leadership and together they are going to go through an amazing list of projects for an eleven-person club. Also present will be President Paul Purvis and Secretary Helene Brown |

We will break out into smaller breakout rooms so we can talk with our friends in small groups and share some stories about some of our memories about the holidays past. We are also going to display some pictures of some of our members from their holidays past and see who can identify them. If you have a picture from one of your long past holidays, please email it to Nancy Langdon. Just bring you favorite wine and join us for some fun!! Dec 16, 2020 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM
Greetings I wanted to bring to your attention some additional details for the upcoming Christmas Party. First the important details: Wednesday 12/16/20 at 6:30 PM to 8:00(ish) PM Zoom link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/8853416052?pwd=ay9KVE5YRHYzQ2tRd0JFZHRnYXRRZz09 Meeting ID: 885 341 6052 Passcode: Tracy1976
Now for the fun stuff: Please wear something in line with the season. Your Christmas PJ’s, a crazy Christmas sweater, or even a stylish Christmas hat. Anything in the spirit of the holidays. We are going to break into small rooms, and we have a series of questions that we will ask and try to get some funny answers that can be shared with the entire group when we are back together. The plan is to break into three different groups for about 20 minutes each. To give you an idea of the kind of questions we will be asking: “what act might land you on Santa’s naughty list?” I won’t share anymore, but I can assure you that our committee has come up with a number of great ones. Finally, if you have any other ideas for making this a nice evening, please drop me a note. We are a pretty extemporaneous group so I am sure we can adjust to about anything. Of course, do not forget a glass (or two or three) of you favorite Christmas cheer. If you have not RSVP’d yet, please do so by responding to this invitation. This is important so we can assign you to your rooms before the party starts. This should be a fun evening. I hope you can all join us. |
