Danielle will be talking about good habits for a healthy life

Bob owned and operated Wild Birds in Torrance for 28 years and recently retired. He will be discussing the Wonder of Birds in our community and the recent birding trip he took to Kenya, where many of our club members have visited.

Martin is a Global Partnership Manager Mediators Beyond Borders Int’l.  

 

A former Director at the National Assoc. for Community Mediation (NAFCM), is a member of the E-Club of World Peace, and an IEP Global Ambassador and Positive Peace Activator.

 

He holds a Masters in Conflict Resolution and Peacebuilding from California State University, Dominguez Hills and will present to us on this worthy project which we donated sometime ago towards its success. An ideal program for Rotarians to hear an accontability of where there donations went and the benefits provided.

Quick update on LAX Capital Improvements

Collecting canned and packaged goods and clothing for the El Camino College Warrior Pantry and Closet.

This is an opportunity for the club to get an accounting of the funds we donated per the RCOP form Peter has completed for the club. 

The Rotary Clubs of SouthBay Sunrise and Palos Verdes Penninsula will be joing us to meet with our District 5280 District Governor Albert Hernandez at The Cantina

Dr. Tabassian is double board certified in internal medicine and nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is on the staff of many hospitals in the community, and is in private practice as an internist and nephrologist.  Emphasizing prevention of disease through her methodology of "Dance to the Music of Your Soul." She focuses on the causative nature of kidney disease and the reasons why dialysis is even necessary at all when it can be prevented.  Dr. Tabassian is the founder of Spiritually Sexy, a lifestyle that promotes individual transcendence and hope for a better tomorrow.

Paul Stansbury is a retired college administrator He graduated from the US Air Force Academy with a BS in Engineering Management, received a Masters in Business from USC, a Masters in Sociology from California State University Long Beach and a doctorate in higher education from Pepperdine University.   

He became involved in the National Alliance on Mental Illness when one of his sons developed a mental illness and is very indebted to the support and education that NAMI and NAMI families have provided to his family.

The Turkey Pass Out  Day is set for Saturday, Nov 16th from 11:00 to 1:00 pm. The location is Mama Hill’s Help located at 755 E 92nd street, LA 90002. We want to invite Rotarians to purchase a 12 to 14 pound frozen turkey and bring it that day. 

Our friends at the Salvation Army need your help.  Due to policy changes with grocers and LA County, grocer donations for their food pantry have significantly decreased.  With the holidays approaching and neighbors (many are families with children) struggling with food insecurity, we would like to have a food drive to stock the pantry!

Our 5 club members who went to Lahania, Maui to provide humanitarian support with 50 other members from the district will give us a review of the contributions made to the local community there.
