Saturday, July 16, will be the 7th annual PCI (People for Community Involvement) "Walk for Life" event celebrating "life" and the work that our inner city Peace Advocate friends at PCI have accomplished.  Due to their work physical assaults have decreased by 85%, homicides by 95% and in the last 4 years there has not been a single gang related homicide in the West Athens area which PCI serves.

This "Walk For Life" is a celebration of "life" over violence and honors all the anti-gang violence work that PCI continues to do.

Several Rotary clubs have participated in the past years and this year we will be carrying the "Rotary 5280 Peace Banner" as we walk the route beginning at the Sheriff's Youth Center located at 11911 S. Vermont, LA, CA 90044.  We will be walking with the LAPD and Sheriff troops as well as other concerned and supportive citizens.

Please join us for a safe and uplifting few hours spent in the inner city in a celebration of life over violence!  Remember to meet at the Sheriff's Youth Center to begin the walk.
