Peary Middle School Garden Flourishes With Redondo Beach Rotary Support

Redondo Beach Rotary obtained a District Grant this year to help feed the hungry children of Los Angeles.  We successfully ran cooking classes at Peary Middle School in Gardena and helped them to revitalize the schools garden.  The garden is a source of learning and fresh fruits and vegetables for the students and the community.

Henry Washington, the supervisor of the garden and the students sent us these pictures of their efforts to plant trees, vegetables, build a drip irrigation system and clean out the garden.

We're planning to participate in their next garden event after the school year starts up again.
